Tom Ford - Studying Bachelor of Engineering (Honours)

​Since graduating in 2014, our Male School Captain, Tom Ford has been studying a Bachelor of Engineering at QUT. We caught up with Tom to see what else he has been up to since leaving Holland Park High and some memorable moments about the school.

What have you done since graduating?

Since graduating I have enrolled into a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) course at the Queensland University of Technology (QUT).

What do you do for a living now?

At the moment, I work at the afterschool care at Marshall Road State School and occasionally work at a local cafe on the weekends.

Do you think your time at Holland Park helped you to pursue this?

I feel tha my time at Holland Park was very important. It helped me develop many skills I used every day and will continue to use in the future. Such as, being able to communicate with a range of different types of people.

Who was your favourite teacher? Why?

All my teachers were great teachers, I think it would be unfair of me to pick just one.

What was your most memorable moment as a student?

I have lots of memorable moment as a student both good and bad. However, my most memorable moment, I would say, wsa when I graduated.

Are you still friends with anybody you met at Holland Park?

I’m still friends with most of my friends I had in high school.
