Students have access to a number of excellent support programs and resources at Holland Park. Our dedicated support team is committed to fostering student wellbeing, academic success, and personal growth. This team includes specialists in pastoral care, mental health, learning support, and career guidance, who work closely with students, families, and staff. From individual counselling and inclusion support to cultural programs and transition assistance, our staff provide tailored guidance and resources to ensure every student feels supported, engaged, and empowered throughout their learning journey. Below is a brief profile on our support team.
Guidance Officer
Provide individual counselling to students, support staff and families with student wellbeing and mental health concerns, manage student protection and critical incidents, case-manage complex situations with internal and external referrals.
HOSES
Identify and support students with disabilities, coordinate referrals and cognitive assessments, provide resources and behavioural support, case-manage complex additional needs, and support key transitions including Year 7, senior years, and post-school pathways.
Learning Support
Provide inclusion support across year levels, deliver targeted reading intervention, develop and maintain Individual Curriculum Plans, support differentiated and inclusive teaching practices, and monitor and adjust interventions based on student progress.
School-based Psychologist
Provide therapeutic support for students with mild to moderate mental health concerns, identify and refer those needing external support, collaborate with staff to implement strategies, and develop wellbeing plans to enhance classroom engagement.
Chaplain
Provide pastoral care and mentoring to students, staff, and families, connect families with community agencies for targeted support, and coordinate wellbeing programs such as SHINE and STRENGTH.
Year Level Deans
Lead engagement and attendance initiatives for the year level, promote school values and a positive culture, support student transitions and year-level identity, encourage participation and celebrate achievements, and monitor wellbeing in collaboration with the SST and families.
First Nations Coordinator
Support First Nations students, engage families and community partners, coordinate cultural events, promote learning participation, and raise awareness of First Nations perspectives and issues.
International EALD Coordinator
Manage student records and visas, provide pastoral care, monitor academic progress and coordinate support programs, handle applications and liaise with education agents, organise cultural events, and offer guidance on cultural perspectives and community needs.
