Located just 10 minutes from Brisbane's vibrant city centre and 50 minutes from the Gold Coast, Holland Park State High School offers a unique and welcoming educational environment. At Holland Park State High School, we prioritise recognising each student's individual strengths and guiding them to achieve their full potential. With a smaller school population of approximately 600 students, we provide personalised and differentiated learning experiences that support both academic achievement and personal growth. Our students are encouraged to participate broadly across school life, enriching their education through involvement in our High-Performance Programs—HPX Academy, Sport, Music and Leadership.

We also provide strong academic and co-curricular support through initiatives such as our long-running, teacher-supervised Homework Club and the JLPT (Japanese Language Proficiency Test) Preparation Course offered weekly by our experienced Japanese language teachers. International Partnerships and Global Engagement

Holland Park State High School is proud of its extensive global connections that strengthen our multicultural learning community and enrich the educational experience for our international students.

For more than 25 years, we have enjoyed a deep sister-school relationship with Osaka Prefectural Tennoji High School (大阪府立天王寺高等学校). This enduring partnership includes an annual two-week visit each March, fostering cross-cultural exchange and lifelong friendships between our students.

We also maintain a strong partnership with The Secondary School Attached to the Faculty of Education, The University of Tokyo (東京大学教育学部附属中等教育学校). Their annual visit to our school coincides with our much-loved Japan Culture Festival (Bunkasai 文化祭), providing a vibrant platform for cultural sharing and celebration.

Every two years, Holland Park students embark on a Japan Study Tour, which includes a visit to our sister school. This biannual journey strengthens our long-standing relationships, reinforces our commitment to cultural exchange, and provides unforgettable learning experiences for our students.

In addition to our sister-school connections, we proudly host study tours from a range of distinguished schools across Japan—including Tokyo, Osaka, and Yokohama's Yamate Gakuin (山手学院中学校・高等学校)—as well as from Taiwan, including Taipei, Taichung's Mingdao High School (台中市私立明道高級中學), and Tainan's Jiansing Junior High School (臺南市立建興國民中學).
We also warmly welcome professional teacher tours from Taiwan and China, further extending our global educational partnerships.

These study tours and professional visits greatly enrich Holland Park's unique educational landscape. They bring high-quality teaching perspectives, cultural diversity, and meaningful international engagement—benefiting both our local and international students.​
