Rationale of HPX Academic
- All students require a challenging, engaging, and respectful learning environment. Students in the HPX academic class work with like-minded peers and access extension activities that unpack the Australian Curriculum at a more sophisticated level. The learning experiences provided to students will allow the opportunity of extension, and enrichment, providing a more challenging and engaging experience. Students will be provided with opportunities within subjects to display a range of 2t century skills, and learning that is at a greater depth and complexity.
- Students will also need to demonstrate an attitude that supports hard work, dedication and enthusiasm to studies, and a high level of motivation. Show leadership skills or potential to work well with others, and have excellent behaviour and effort results.
- The learning experiences within the HPX Academic class is at a faster pace of study to enable students to focus on extending, refining the key concepts of the curriculum, who then are meaningfully supported to develop and demonstrate a range of high order thinking skills.
