STEAM education is vital to a student's success in the 21st century. The Year 7 STEAM Excellence program is an innovative, academically challenging and inspiring learning pathway for those students who excel in their subjects, specifically in the areas of Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics (STEAM) and who have the capability to be creative and innovative. Students who participate in the STEAM excellence program are exposed to various project based opportunities, embracing content across the Australian Curriculum in a more practical and hands on way. The STEAM program has links with the Queensland University of Technology allowing students with hands on experiences to word class facilities and opportunities.
