We have placed an importance on ‘paddock to plate’ by growing our own herbs and vegetables to be used in the Canteen. Nothing beats 'fresh from the garden' flavour.

In the past, dedicated students have planted, grown and harvested: potatoes, broccoli, beans, lettuce, carrots, tomatoes, onions, cucumbers, apples, rockmelons, pawpaw, passionfruit, limes, lemons, and pineapples. In addition to this, students have also picked herbs including basil, ginger and parsley.

With the aid of our student body and the use of the school composting bins our gardens, plants and ecosystems around the school have definitely benefitted from some tender love and care.
