Since graduating in 1979, Evie Taylor Gough have done many exciting things with her life including owning her own Personal Training Business. We caught up with Evie to see what else she has been up to since graduating.

What have you done since graduating?

I've Travelled Overseas, completed a Bachelor of Arts Degree at Griffith University, had my son – Aleksandr, Worked as Research Assistant, Tutor, Lecturer – Griffith University, Got Married, Worked in Signwriting Business with my Husband, and completed 2 Diplomas in Fitness & Nutrition – TAFE Qld.

What do you do for a living now?

Co-Founded & Manage our Personal Training Business with my husband -- UXL Fitness

Do you think your time at Holland Park helped you to pursue this?

Yes – it fostered my love of athletics & being a small school allowed me to compete in various athletic events.  It felt like the teachers really cared about us - & were able to give each student their time & attention.
This school also helped me realize my true passion which is helping others achieve their Fitness, Nutrition & Health goals.

Who was your favourite teacher?

My favourite teachers would have been Mrs Bond (Maths) and Mr Phillips (Physics). They made the subjects understandable.

What was your most memorable moment as a student?

Receiving a Half Blue for Athletics & every year competing at State Titles for Athletics.

Do you feel that Holland Park has changed much since you graduated?

No – thankfully.  It was a lovely school when I was there.  Still lovely when my sister was there – 3 yrs later & still fantastic school when Aleksandr was School Captain there.
